What is a Transfer Student?
A transfer student is an individual who has previously been enrolled in a licensed cosmetology or related program at another institution and is seeking to transfer their completed clock hours into our school’s program to continue their training and work toward licensure.

The applicant must submit official transcripts from the previous institution at the time of enrollment, along with a course outline or syllabus detailing the coursework completed.

All transfer evaluations are conducted on an individual basis, with the final decision being solely up to Charr-Nix’s New Generation School of Beauty. Decisions made by Administration shall consider factors such as, the licensure status of the previous institution, the equivalency and scope of coursework completed at the previous institution, and the grade point average (GPA) achieved at the previous institution.
Transferability of Credits Policy
Credits/Hours Earned From A Previous Institution:
Final decisions shall comply with the following Policies and Criteria:

The maximum number of transferable hours will be determined by school administration and may not exceed 75%.

Hours must be current and relevant, typically earned within the past five (5) years.

The student may be required to demonstrate competency through a practical evaluation or written exam before credit is awarded.

Acceptance of transfer hours may shorten program length. In this case, tuition will be prorated based on the total contract hours.

All transfer hours must be determined prior to enrollment and included in the student’s enrollment agreement.

Credit is not awarded for experiential learning.

Our school is not currently engaged in any Articulations or Transfer Agreements with any other institution at this time.
Credits Earned at Our School Accepted by Other Institutions:
There is no guarantee that the hours and/or credits earned at Charr-Nix’s New Generation School of Beauty will be accepted by another institution. The acceptance of credits is at the sole discretion of the receiving institution.
If credits earned at this institution are not accepted by the receiving institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution. For this reason, it is the student’s responsibility to confirm whether or not credits will be accepted by another institution in advance. We highly encourage students to research and plan accordingly to ensure educational decisions align with future career goals. This may include contacting an institution to which you may seek to transfer after attending Charr-Nix’s New Generation School of Beauty to determine if your credits will be accepted.
