Award Policy
Eligibility Requirements
Charr-Nix’s New Generation School of Beauty is committed to ensuring quality education is affordable to all students by offering in-house scholarships to assist students who demonstrate financial need and meet eligibility requirements.
This policy applies to:
All prospective students applying for enrollment in any training program offered at Charr-Nix’s New Generation School of Beauty.
A. Availability

Scholarship applications must be submitted during the time of enrollment.

Scholarship applications are included in Enrollment Packets which may be obtained from the Admissions Office or downloaded from the school's website.
B. Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must meet all admission requirements, including the payment of a mandatory deposit.

Applicant must submit proof of financial need, which may include:

Pay Stub
-
Public assistance documentation (if applicable, such as SNAP)

Previous Year Tax Return

C. Scholarship Award Structure
Scholarship amounts are determined based on the total expense of the program enrolled and the individual circumstances of the student.
Scholarship Maximum Range
— Cosmetology
Up to $6,027.00
— Barbering
Up to $4,500.00
— Restricted Barbering
Up to $2,345.00
— Facial Specialty -
Up to $1,000.00
—Nail Specialty -
Up to $1,000.00
D. Application Requirements

Applicant must complete a Scholarship Application Form

Applicant must provide a written statement describing:

Career goals

Financial circumstances

The impact a scholarship would have with helping to meet goals

E. Review and Notification
-
Applications are reviewed by school administration.

Applicants will be notified of their award status within 5 business days of submitting a completed application.

Scholarships will be documented in the student’s file and reflected on their Enrollment Agreement as a tuition reduction.
F. Limitations and Conditions for Continued Eligibility

Scholarships are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash value.

Scholarships are only available for new enrollees and does not apply to re-entry students or in-house transfers from one program to another program.

Awards are applied as a credit towards the student’s tuition expenses.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements: To remain eligible for the scholarship students must maintain 85% or above during all SAP evaluation periods for both attendance and academics. If a student falls below 85% during any evaluation period, their eligibility to continue receiving the scholarship shall be suspended or revoked.

Institutional scholarships may not be combined with other institutional discounts offered by the school.
